I'm sorry ben but this woman is an idiot. Rainbows don't occur "near the moon and the sun" as she thinks, they appear in Earth's atmosphere. And they are an effect of human vision, specifically our eyes angle of incidence on the water droplets in the sky being 22.6 degrees.

She's also wrong that this is new or recent, I think I used to look at rainbows from my sprinkler when I was a kid.

The effect can be seen in other types of water too, and is specific to human eyes, not chemicals.

Sorry, had to be a wet blanket on this one.
